I prefer to do most portraits on location.  A place where a person feels relaxed and comfortable is often the key ingredient that makes a portrait come alive.

There is a $100 portrait creation fee for one or two people at a single location.  A typical portrait session lasts about 45 minutes. Extra subjects and locations will be quoted on a case by case basis.

Images will be selected, cropped, color corrected and exposure balanced to ensure the best quality prints.  All finished images will be displayed in an online gallery. You will also receive full resolution digital images on a CD.

A quick note about retouching - It is often desirable to have favorite images retouched - skin tones smoothed, blemishes hidden and teeth whitened.  This is a very time consuming process. Since we often present over 100 images from a portrait session, it is impractical to retouch all images.  Our normal policy is to retouch any portraits that are ordered from the online gallery.  You may also have any digital image from your session retouched for an additional charge of $10 per face.

I remember when I first started painting a portrait in art school. It was easy to capture a likeness, but very difficult to capture a persons personality!  

I purchased my first professional camera to capture, on film, the fleeting expressions that portrayed a persons personality.  Little did I know how addictive photography would become.
